The vision of making Izmir the capital of human rights is a project of Izmir Bar Association.
Izmir is a city surrounded by historical and cultural inheritance and the vision of making Izmir the capital of human rights aims Izmir to be a model city in the region for its application of democracy and understanding of constitutional state.
Izmir has a potential with its liberal citizens and different kind of non-governmental organizations to carry Turkey to a better place.
There are great expectations from Izmir and its citizens and that puts a responsibility on Izmir’s shoulder.
Hence, Izmir Bar Association with its 111 years old history is ready to meet all the expectations by making all the institutions aware of the vision of making Izmir the capital of human rights.
Beginning with our own city Izmir, we call our country and our region to duty for carrying human rights and democratic institutions to the future.
